Refund & Transfer Policy

The short version

Tell us at least two days before your event and you get all of your money back, whatever your reason. Inside those last two days, half comes back. Either way you can hand your seat to someone else instead — just tell us who.

Cancelling your seat

Everything is measured against Day 1 of the event you bought a seat for.

• Two days or more before Day 1 — a full refund, back to the card you paid with. You do not have to justify it. Whatever your reason, it is reason enough.
• Inside the last two days — 50% comes back to you and 50% is retained. By then the room, the meals and your printed materials are already paid for on your behalf.

The same applies if something happens and you simply cannot make it: get in touch either way, because a late word from you is still better than silence, and a transfer may suit you better than half your money.

Refunds go back to the original payment method and usually land within five to ten business days, depending on your bank. We cannot refund to a different card or account.

Transferring instead

If you cannot come but someone else can, send us their name and email and the seat becomes theirs. There is no fee for this and no deadline beyond the event itself — a transfer is better for you than a refund and better for us than an empty chair.

If you would rather come to a different city instead, talk to us. We can usually move you to another stop on the roadshow, subject to seats being free at the one you want. If that stop costs more you pay the difference; if it costs less we do not refund the gap.

Team seats at $497 are attached to the ticket they were bought with. They can go to different people, but they cannot be split off and used at a different event from the main seat.

If we cancel or move an event

Dates and cities on this site are subject to change, and we say so next to them. If we cancel a stop, or move it far enough that you can no longer attend, you choose one of two things:

• A full refund of everything you paid us for that event, including team seats and the dinner.
• A seat at any other stop on the roadshow, at the price you already paid.

We cannot reimburse flights, hotels or any other travel cost, in any circumstance — including if we cancel. Please book travel you can change, or insure it. This is the single most important line on this page.

The VIP dinner

The dinner is $297 per person, bought separately from your seat, and optional.

It follows the same rule as your seat: cancel two days or more before Day 1 and you get all of it back; inside the last two days, half comes back. A dinner place can also be handed to anyone else attending the workshop.

If you cancel your workshop seat and we refund it in full, your dinner seat is refunded in full alongside it.

Workshop credits

The Viral Hijack credits included with your seat have no cash value, are not sold separately, and are not refundable on their own. They switch on the morning of Day 1 and expire the day after the event ends. Anything you create with them stays in your Viral Hijack account afterwards.

How to ask

Text us. Tell us which event you booked, the name on the order, and whether you want a refund or a transfer. A person reads it and answers — you will not be sent round a help desk.

If something has gone wrong with a charge, please talk to us before raising it with your bank. A chargeback takes the decision away from both of us and takes months; we can usually sort it the same day.
